ABOUT ME ...
Character comedian, award winning disco entertainer, experienced festival host/MC, comedy improviser, and comedy promoter from Teesside
(although I do live in Leeds).

Character Comedy - Heavily influenced by Steve Coogan, Rik Mayall, The League of Gentleman, and the mighty Reeves & Mortimer. I regularly perform as Middlesbrough F.C super fan Ted Hanky.

Ted has a very successful weekly podcast show called 'Ted Talks - The Ted Hanky Podcast' which often charts highly in the iTunes Comedy Podcast Charts.
Ted also has a large social media following where his videos often trend into the tens of thousands on Facebook views on both his page and Boro Fan TV.

Additional to this, Ted Hanky can be seen performing on the UK comedy circuit and is available to book for
stand up comedy (10 min to 1 hour), promotional campaigns, advertising campaigns, football after dinners, festivals, radio, and special DJ sets.

Improv Comedy - I'm also a member of The Discount Comedy Checkout Improv Group doing both adult shows in comedy clubs and kids improv shows at festivals, school fete's, and community groups.
The DCC have been going for over 10 years now and are recognised as one of the best and most established improv groups around.

And finally, additional to the above, I'm also joint host of a new alternative comedy panel show called The Halls of Ridiculous. Again performing in comedy clubs and festivals throughout the UK.

The 80's - Club Visage - I'm also the creator and a performer in 80's themed entertainment disco show 'Club Visage'.
The show is a combination of live music, dancers, audience participation, character comedy ... all wrapped up inside a cool 80s disco. I can often be seen hosting huge retro festivals, gigging for corporate clients, performing for our superb British Armed Forces and entertaining the Christmas party brigade as my 'other' alter egos Matt Gloss.
Club Visage won the LUX Life Magazine
'Best Speciality Themed Party Company - UK' Award in their 2018 annual entertainment awards and have also been nominated for Best Entertainment Act in the 2019 North East Event Entertainment Awards.

Festival Hosting - I also host the Summer Sounds tribute festivals in Darlington and Gusiborough each year, I've hosted the National Rail Awards at the Ricoh Arena, and also other more local festivals such as Redcar Live presenting for Zetland FM.

TV & Media. - I also do bits and pieces on the old telly box too, from being a quiz show contestant (Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Tipping Point, Pointless) through to TV & Film Extra work (Storage Hunters UK - Dave, Bulletproof - Sky 1, Agatha Christie's Poirot - 'ABC Murders' - BBC 1).

Promoting - When I'm not performing I'm busy promoting and running my Shoe Cake Comedy nights.
Here I put on a mixture of new and established act nights across Yorkshire and the North East.
2019 has been a huge year for the Shoe Cake. We were nominated for two awards in the Yorkshire Choice Awards - New Starter Business of the Year & Business Man of the Year where i finished as Runner Up.
